Seeking motivated individuals to coordinate (AC positions) and administer (AA positions) in-school assessment sessions with fourth- and eighth-grade students for the National Assessment of Educational Progress. Must be available to work the specified data collection period of January 24 to March 4, 2022. Job Posting: Lead Administrator for Port Saint Lucie Christian School, Port Saint, Lucie, Florida

Overview: Highpoint Community Church in Port Saint Lucie, Florida is opening a Christian school and preschool and is searching for a lead administrator to work with the School Management Company to plan, facilitate and execute the opening of a K3-3rd grade school in Fall 2022. The pastor and board have the vision of growing to a K2-6 school over a 3-5 year period. The Highpoint Community Church is highly supportive of the proposed Christian school and is searching for a high-quality candidate to assist in the implementation of their vision. This school is being designed from the input of parents and professional educators and focuses on academic success achieved through highly engaging instruction. The lead administrator will drive the creation and implementation of a positive learning environment where the focus will be on supporting teaching staff in delivering instruction based on individual student needs.

Requirements:

 

Education: Candidates shall possess a minimum of a Master’s degree in Education or a related field. A candidate who has earned an MS. Ed. in Educational Leadership and has Administrator’s certification is desired.

Experience: Candidates shall have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an education or leadership setting. If candidates come from an education background, they should have experience in administration, either as a Principal, Vice Principal or School counselor. Ministry, military or executive leadership would also be entertained.  

Attributes and Skills: Candidates shall possess excellent leadership skills, with positive evaluation from their superiors, or as shown through demonstration of success. Spiritual leadership, educational leadership, and business acumen shall all be evaluated in vetting a candidate. Candidates should present evidence of leadership or ability to lead in all of these areas. Specifically, candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  1. Ability to lead a group in spiritual development. Experience should include professional or volunteer service in a church or a religious nonprofit ministry.

  2. Ability to select and lead faculty from initial hire through development and implementation of academic curriculum, programs, and classroom execution using industry standard teaching techniques and assessment tools.

  3. Candidates shall demonstrate competence in areas of business including execution  of a marketing plan, supervision and execution of a budget, use of fiscal reports and controls and execution of fundraising strategies.

  4. Candidates shall have the ability to work cooperatively with church staff to support and enhance the ministry of the church with the vision of advancing the Kingdom through the ministry of the Christian school.

  5. As Highpoint Community Church is a culturally diverse community, candidates should demonstrate the knowledge, attitudes and skills required to build and maintain a healthy school community in such a setting. 

  6. Candidates shall demonstrate a lifestyle consistent with the standards of Highpoint Community Church. The administrator shall be required to faithfully attend Highpoint Community Church, support the ministry financially through tithe and offering and participate in church ministries.

Salary and Benefits:  This position is a year-round, salaried position. Salary, benefits, time-off and other compensation shall be discussed at the interview and set out in an annual contract or work agreement.

McLean, Virginia currently hiring a full time classroom teacher (grades 3rd -
5th) for the 2021-22 school year.
