Small World Christian Learning Center, FL

Small World Christian Learning Center (SWCLC), a ministry of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Charlotte is seeking qualified substitute teachers/assistants.  Our program is an educational sanctuary for a child which is committed to nurturing and inspiring children to grow and develop into happy inquisitive learners.  The staff and administration provide a premier preschool program and a leading before/afterschool program for elementary school children.

The SWCLC Board of Directors is now accepting applications for highly professional, committed Christian team players who are interested in joining the SWCLC staff as a substitute teacher/assistant.  This position requires the following qualifications are met:

• High school diploma (or GED) and 18 years of age
• Certificate of completion or enrollment in 20/10/10/5 state mandated course series
• Florida Child Care Professional Credentials (FCCPS)
• Commitment to growing in the Christian Faith
• Ability to perform the tasks of working in an environment of young children
• Successful experience working with preschool and school-age children
• Ability to work cooperatively with the classroom teacher and their staff to provide a successful comprehensive Christian preschool instructional program
• Receptive to supervision and guidance; ability to substitute for the teacher, as needed

 This position would interact with parents and family members on a daily basis; as well as with church members and the public as a whole on a regular basis. So it is imperative that the individual possesses strong public relations skills and the ability to multi-task.  First and foremost we are looking for individuals who want to be part of a strong Christian family ministering to children in Charlotte County for over 35 years.
